Working in close partnership with A+E Networks, we embarked on a 6 month journey to reinvent the History brand. To develop a potent new brand strategy and comprehensive brand language that challenges what the brand is, how it is perceived and broaden the understanding of history.


We began with strategic sprints to reshape the brand in close collaboration with the A+E Networks team. Moving beyond just TV content to create a broader definition of the brand. This led to a new look and feel – one that is modern and confident, immersive and refined. Graphic photography with emotive, strong typography define the look as well as a nuanced and expressive tone of voice. In motion, it comes to life through movement inspired by the cadence of the spoken word. A complete brand expression from print to digital, on-air to advertising.


The History brand has had a revolutionary change to liberate it from the past and to challenge history and its definition. To provide context with a dramatic and distinct editorial approach. Launched in the US with a global roll-out to follow. Winner of the GRAND PRIX award for rebranding excellence at the Transform Awards North America 2017.
