3 days, 60 talent, 3 sound stages.
We’ve worked closely with and are retained by Telemundo since the rebrand we did for them 3 years ago. It’s a powerful relationship and a testament to their commitment to building on and evolving their brand story. Each year, alongside campaigns and other brand initiatives we helped them deliver an inspiring and strategically on-point Upfront show. For 2015, our focus was to create a dramatic 2 minute live action opening film featuring their most iconic talent. The theme of the film was to express a strategy we created ‘Hispanic America at its Best’. We chose to do this with a walk-through of the backstage of different Telemundo sets and backlots. A full on 3 days with 60 talent across 3 sound stages made for one of the biggest shoots we’ve worked on with Telemundo.
Storyboards for the film sequenced into sections are front and centre on every soundstage and keep us on track.
With over 60 talent, there were upto 12 make up and costume stations running at one time for some of the bigger shots.

Hundreds of different lights and LED screens help to create a dynamic, live background environment for the shots. Can’t go wrong with a few steady-cam operators too.
Digital prints of every shot line boards to help align them to the storyboards and start to see the film come to life.
A final touch up.
That’s a wrap. The final film was premiered at the 2015 Telemundo Upfront to an audience of 1,000 at the Jazz at Lincoln Centre, Columbus Circle, New York on a huge 80 foot wide screen.
