We think having interns is really important because it gives us a new perspective on things, and equally, we value interns as part of the process.
So for us its not about making tea, its about getting stuck in and being part of a creative studio. We ask our interns to:
Always be curious
Have an opinion
Take on a project for the duration of your time with us
Here’s some of the creative minds we’ve had work with us in the last few months. We asked them about their best bits, and what they had learnt during their time with us.
Josje – The best bit was definitely when I was able to attend the film shoot for Eurosport. There was such a great vibe and so many passionate and creative people around me that worked very hard and they achieved a great end result! It made me realise that I really want to work in the film industry either as a producer or director.
Aneta – I’ve learnt not to be afraid to ask questions and to take risks! My multitasking and prioritising ability has definitely improved.
Luke – My highlight was working alongside other designers. Hearing other thoughts on processes and getting an insight on how brands are brought together. Dixonbaxi have inspired me to get going in the industry!
Steph – Initially I was worried about approaching people if they were really busy but I’ve now learnt it’s much more efficient to be confident and approach people when you need them.
Rebecca – My advice to other interns and graduates would be to always stay busy and find things to do, and always ask for help!
Rem – DixonBaxi has influenced my creativity in that it has taught me to be more thorough in my visual research, so as to convey ideas more clearly, and not to settle for results too easily.
Marie – My favourite part of my internship was being able to participate in brainstorming sessions with the strategy team.
Jack – DixonBaxi has given me a new, better way of working. Whilst I was there I saw the importance of idea generation and that creating a multitude of quick sketches at the beginning of a project. This helps ideas flow and you are forced to be creative and innovative.
Melissa – I enjoyed using my creativity, because I know that’s a strong asset I have so helping with editing and any other creative ideas was a pleasure.
Maria – I learned how a creative agency works and it’s really fascinating!
